D-Land

A month ago today we went to Disneyland!  Brooke and Derek had made plans to go and we decided to go with them.  They wanted to keep it a secret and surprise their boys.  They woke their boys up at 5:00 am on Memorial Day and told them that they were going right before heading to the airport.  The boys were so excited!  They didn't tell them that we were going.  We flew out the next day.

We found out where they were in the park (do you see the little boy in the blue shirt sitting on Derek's shoulders in the background of the below picture...that's Linc) and we sat on the sidewalk where we knew they would walk by.  Linc was looking the other way but Carter saw Carli and then me and then my Mom and then my Dad.  His eyes and smile got bigger and bigger and then he just cracked up!  It was so much fun!

After spending the afternoon and evening in the park we headed back to the hotel to get some sleep.  The next day we got up early and drove to San Diego's Sea World.

The San Diego temple is so beautiful!
The shows are always way awesome!  It is amazing how they can train the animals and fish to do so many things.
My Mom was so scared of getting wet so after this picture she seriously put Lincoln's swimsuit on her head.  It cracked us all up!

Carli, Derek, Brooke, Dad, and I went on Atlantis.  We convinced my Dad that it had broken down while we were on the ride and he started freaking out!  I was crying because I was laughing so hard!  We all got soaked...good thing it was a warm day!
That night we went to Angels Stadium in Anaheim to watch a Yankees vs. Angels game.  There is nothing like a good ball game!

On Thursday we headed back to Disneyland!

The new Ariel ride is one of my favorites!  It is so cute AND the line goes by quickly.  That is always a plus:)
The boys love Phineas and Ferb and were able to dance with them in their little show.  It was adorable!
I also love Turtle Talk with Crush!  He is so funny!
After a long, hot day we had dinner at the Blue Bayou that is inside the Pirates ride.  Fun atmosphere and good food.
We went to the World of Color show that night...phenomenal!  It was the coolest water/light show ever!
On Friday we made sure to have a reservation for the character breakfast!  That is the best way to do it folks...the characters come to you!  And the food was delish!

Derek wanted to go on the Star Tours ride so we joined him...and we all got sick!  Darn motion sickness.
Ever since Linc's cousins did the Jedi training last year he has been dying to do it!  He was called out of the audience and was on cloud 9!  He is to the left of the Jedi Master and was the cutest little Jedi in training ever!
That night we ate at one of our favorite restaurants in Anaheim, Oggi's.  Good food and lots of laughs!
Carli's friend, Preston, had received his mission call to Brazil while we were in Cali and Carli wanted to do something special for him.  We all found a different set of Mickey ears and took pics with the letters of Brasil.  It turned out cute and he loved it!

By the end of it all the boys were exhausted and so were we!  It was such a memorable trip!
Goodbye Cali!  Hope to visit you again soon!
